
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain for the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020, along with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley earlier. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her debut at the club , and also helped the team win its league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time and was one of the youngest players on the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final match against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was able to finish 2012 with 21 and 28 goals. assists as she joined Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and record 20 assists within the same calendar year . making her the sixth youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. She was named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Championships in 2019. She was selected to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
